Major Playas Face to Face!
The show began in the President's office, as Mr. Montabo was observing the physical toll
the tough matches and outside beatings have taken on Pretty Paul Parismo. The Playa of the
Year waved a hand, adjusted his fro pick, and pointed out he's World Champ for a reason. Montabo
offered, one Pimp to another, to step in and guest referee. Parismo eschewed that, as well as
Montabo's offer of a ringside supporter. Paul said it's all good, that anyone was welcome, but
they had to deal with him as well as Franchise. "We started HCW, where ya play to win, playa!"
P.A. Greg was delivering some paperwork from the copy room to Mr. Williams, and he stopped to
hit on Jenna Perry, telling her again not to worry, and if she needed a manager, he's got connections.
She rolled her eyes and said she'll think on it, to which he smiled, and entered Mr. Williams' office.
The New Filthy Creatures surprised Corporate Muscle by coming within a hair's breadth of an upset.
Small, pesky, and strange, the Creatures would prevent Oof from entering the ring, and concentrated
a pounding upon Governor Johnson. Corporate would not be down long, as Rob Roffe slipped a packet of
liquid soap to Johnson, who blinded Dillberg by bursting it in his face. Oof went from distracting the
ref to a hot tag, and cleaned house for the victory.
Jan Kubicek-Whitaker and Mr. Montabo were continuing their discussion from last week. Montabo consented,
saying she hasn't been right for a while and could use the break. Plus, he added that there was no sense
in weakening the women's division any further. Jan,confused, asked what that meant. Montabo said that
Scarlett did not sign the contract he offered yet, and he worried the talent pool would only get more shallow.
Jan thanked Montabo for letting her go, but added that Scarlett did sign a contract. Montabo jumped up
and set off for Williams' office and to find his personal assistant.
Cruiserweight Champ Justin Fearior crossed paths with Rob Roffe outside, and gave him a hard time
about his interference. He told Roffe that if he ever makes it out of jobber hell, he better not use
Corporate interference in a match against him. Roffe told him to go to hell. Montabo came by looking for
his P.A. and allowed the confrontation to continue, giving it sanctioning. Fearior used a manhole cover
to brutal effect, eliciting the "I Quit" from Roffe. Montabo departed, still looking. Fearior patted
himself on the back walking into the arena, but was clotheslined by Oof who then revived Roffe and led him away.
In the fallout from last week's 3-Way Dance, B-Rad "The Amazing Nerd" accepted a challenge from Huggy
Bear. The match was a tour de air force, with some excellent chain wrestling. Most especially impressive
was a top rope drop kick by Huggy Bear turned into a side slam by The Amazing Nerd. Nashville leaped
from the crowd a few minutes later, Kaballah Chopped B-Rad, and stole away, Huggy Bear wiping out the
#1 Contender with a 420 splash.
Mr. Montabo met with Mr. Williams who agreed he had not seen a signed contract from Scarlett. When
Montabo's Personal Assistant finally showed up, he remembered it being left to submit to Scarlett, and that
it wasn't there later. He assumed she had it but not signed it. Montabo related Kubicek-Whitaker's claim
Scarlett had signed a contract. DH and Scarlett came into Mr. Williams' office upon hearing of the
confusion. Scarlett said she received the contract from P.A. Greg that he swore he was given, and signed it.
Greg didn't remember getting it back. Franchise appeared in the ring and got the attention of those in
the office via the big screen. He said it's all fixed. Williams asked what that meant. Franchise said Scarlett did sign an
exclusive contract...with EBW. He held it up with her handwriting and said it was going immediately to his
EBW road agent. Montabo was incredulous, Williams gave a disgusted snicker. Montabo realized an exclusive
contract with EBW meant she cannot hold the Women's Title. He had to immediately vacate it. Scarlett crumbled,
her long awaited championship history in one week. Montabo demanded to know if she was in on this. She profusely
denied it. Dark Horse went ballistic at this. He apologized to his lady love for breaking his "arm's length" promise to her,
and charged out of the office. Franchise sent his agent away and broke for backstage. Seeing Scarlett's
precarious position, Montabo told Mr. Williams to lock himself in with Scarlett and wait for his ok to sort
this out.
When brawls broke out backstage leading up to the Main Event, Mr. Montabo assigned Security to tag with
Pretty Paul and let Franchise find his own partner. Franchise did not appear worried. Montabo was getting
sick of trying to control all of the chaos. The match began mostly as a rerun of the backstage brawl. Contrary
to a typical situation, tempers ran hotter with the removal of title changes from the match. Now the men
could go all out without minding their belts. Parismo hit 2 sick powerbombs on Franchise, winding him.
Parismo made the tag, and Security went for a cover. Franchise kicked out, and countered a suplex with a
swinging DDT. Hynes next executed a Southern State Slam, and threw Mr. Clarke into Parismo's corner. Pretty
Paul tagged himself in, and Franchise kept the offense up, weathering a superplex to the ringside area, to
slam Paul's head into the Ring Steps. Picking up said steps, Franchise dropped them down onto Parismo, picked
him up, and rolled him into the ring. Security made the save, and Parismo tripped Franchise and dropped his fist
onto Franchise's crotch. Beaten, Parismo tagged in Clarke, who went back and forth with Hynes. Parismo called
for another shot, and Clarke tagged him back in. Just then, the Crisco Kid came to ringside. Clarke asked why.
Crisco said Clarke was needed backstage. In the locker room, a melee had developed out of nowhere. Roffe
and Fearior were again in the middle. Clarke verified and ran backstage, glancing back at Parismo. Crisco started
to follow Clarke, when Clarke barked at him to remain in his stead. By then it was too late, as Franchise
KO'ed the worn out Parismo with his Diamond Dust finisher and scored the pin. By the time Security reached the locker room,
Montabo and P.A. Greg had gotten between the men and nearly broken up the fight. Clarke realized what happened
and ran for Williams' office. Mr. Williams' was down and Scarlett was gone.
